At the beginning of each year, many of us make or renew a commitment to support our health and well-being—our New Year’s resolutions. But how many
of us follow through on these, and for how long?

Most of us are great at sticking to our goals for the first month or two, maybe longer. But as time goes by and everyday life gets in the way, we tend to lose our focus on taking care of ourselves.

This year, commit to your heart health. Don’t do it just at the beginning of the New Year, or just in February to honor American Heart Month—commit for the long term.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., claiming more than 600,000 lives annually.1

In 1963, President Lyndon B. Johnson declared February American Hearth Month, and Americans have celebrated it every year since. Take a few minutes to learn about heart disease, risk factors, healthy habits, and tips for living a heart-healthy lifestyle. And this February, commit to staying on track for a healthy heart.
