Database Analyst

Location: Chelmsford, MA


Job Summary:

Provides direct system administration of department systems and provide application support on the Oracle ERP, MES, Taske and VPI Infomed systems. Designs new systems and applications as required.  Provides technical support to the department users for PC and network applications.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides direct system administration of department systems:
    • Regulatory – Infomed
      • Special attention to Agency eReporting (FDA, outside agencies)
    • EDHR – Camstar
  • Provides end user support for Oracle ERP system
  • Analyzes the impact and Support for: hardware/software changes, user reporting, installing software patches, deployment of SQL server and web apps
  • Camstar Modelling
  • Provides user base with Outlook support
  • Provides support and training to analysts and desktop support specialists
  • Special Projects as Assigned
  • Create and support SSRS reports.
  • SQL server administration and write queries and Stored Procedures and Database backups and restore database.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving experience
  • Solid proficiency in current department development tools
  • Able to work independently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Solid understanding of PC technology and current networking concepts
  • Solid understanding of SQL server, SSRS reports

Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience
