Financial Reporting Analyst/Corporate Finance

The Senior Financial Analyst will be primarily responsible for collecting, distributing, and maintaining financial analysis and business decision making support for the senior management team of the company.  Specifically, this role will be responsible for partnering with the senior managers of the company in reporting on the annual operating budget, ongoing financial forecasting, daily, monthly, quarterly, & annual financial reporting, budget vs. actual variance analysis and reporting, intercompany transaction monitoring and entry, parent company reporting and other ad-hoc analyses.  This function acts as the analytical/reporting engine of the company to provide insights and support optimal business decision making. 


Essential Functions:

  • Work with key functional teams to understand and report on key business trends
  • Produce, distribute, and maintain periodic financial reports including orders, revenue, backlog, etc.
  • Utilize diverse sources of data (Oracle, Hyperion Smartview and Planning, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to assess financial performance
  • Drive continuous process improvements in reporting, forecasting and budgeting activities through automation, consolidation and quality improvement
  • Prepare monthly presentations and other communication materials for executive management and parent corporation effectively communicating financial results and performance to financial forecast and budget
  • Research and explain sizeable month-end variances versus financial plans
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends, analyze and develop root-cause analytics of variances
  • Create ad-hoc financial analysis for business leadership
  • Partner with various departments to ensure accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting
  • Analyze and generate intercompany accounting entries for multi-currency corporate subsidiaries and revenue reporting
  • Able to create, run and manage Oracle, ADI, Crystal, & Hyperion Reports
  • Special projects as requested


  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Intermediate to advanced level skills with Oracle, Crystal, Hyperion / Smartview
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Detailed knowledge of GAAP and accounting experience
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with and support cross-functional teams
  • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
  • Able to work as partner with Senior Management, interacting comfortably
  • Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information


  • Bachelors Degree in (or with a concentration in) Finance or Accounting
  • MBA or CMA a plus
