The new Singapore $10 note featuring the X Series®.

November 9, 2015—The ZOLL® X Series® is featured on a new Singapore $10 note honoring public service personnel. When Singapore celebrated its 50th Anniversary of Independence on August 9, 2015, special currency was issued to commemorate the nation’s rise from its humble beginnings in the1960s, to its emergence as one of the most advanced economies in the world. Today, Singapore ranks as the fourth largest global financial hub after New York, London, and Hong Kong; and its capital (also named Singapore) is the most expensive city in the world.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) created a series of commemorative Singapore Dollar notes, which includes five different $10 notes illustrating the theme "Vibrant Nation, Endearing Home." One of these honors the services of the police, armed forces, and civil defense (fire and ambulance services), and features the caption “Safe and Secure.”

When MAS approached the Ambulance Services Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and proposed having a paramedic pose with a stethoscope, the CMO suggested that more advanced medical equipment might be appropriate, and proposed the ZOLL X Series Monitor/Defibrillator instead.

Fifteen million sets of the commemorative notes were prepared and launched during the Independence Day celebration. The notes will be in general circulation when more are printed in 2016.
