ZOLL TO SHOWCASE PORTFOLIO OF ADVANCED RESUSCITATION AND ACUTE CRITICAL CARE TECHNOLOGIES AT ARAB HEALTH 2018
Opportunity to Perform CPR in a Virtual World
January 24, 2018—CHELMSFORD, MASS.—ZOLL® Medical Corporation, an Asahi Kasei Group Company that manufactures medical devices and related software solutions, announced today that its fully integrated portfolio of resuscitation and acute critical care technologies and data management solutions will be on display during Arab Health in Booth G19, Hall 1, 29 January–1 February in Dubai. ZOLL’s products are uniquely capable of helping customers achieve the recommendations in the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines, which are followed by many countries in this region.
Unsurpassed CPR Support
Increasing the quality of CPR has been an ongoing commitment of ZOLL’s since 2002, when it was the first to introduce real-time CPR feedback in its AED Plus®. Today, all ZOLL defibrillators, including the AED Plus, the AED Pro®, the ZOLL AED 3™*, the R Series®, and the X Series® feature Real CPR Help® audio and visual feedback for the correct depth, rate, release, and tracking of idle time. Real CPR Help is the only CPR feedback technology that, in combination with training, has been shown to impact survival to discharge, as demonstrated in published research.1
ZOLL’s commitment to high-quality CPR is also evident in the company’s suite of tools for optimal resuscitation response, which includes See-Thru CPR® as well as EtCO2 monitoring. ZOLL’s proprietary See-Thru CPR technology, which minimizes the duration of pauses in CPR by enabling rescuers to see a patient’s organized underlying rhythm, is available on the R Series, the X Series, and the AED Pro. Another ZOLL technology that helps reduce interruptions in compressions and increase the amount of high-quality CPR provided by rescuers is RapidShock™** analysis, which is available on the X Series and the ZOLL AED 3. The new RapidShock functionality is the fastest rhythm analysis in the world, giving the rescuer a shock/no shock decision in as little as 3 seconds.
CPR in Virtual Reality
With ZOLL’s new CPR training application in virtual reality, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the power of Real CPR Help with the new ZOLL AED 3 in a virtual world. Attendees can become “Unexpected Heroes” in a virtual rescue with this fully immersive virtual reality scenario.
Comprehensive Portfolio for Pre-hospital Care
ZOLL’s EMS products are designed to maximize care for the everyday situations that rescuers encounter. The small and lightweight X Series monitor/defibrillator delivers unsurpassed monitoring and includes efficient and reliable solutions for patient data management and debriefing. It also provides system-independent STEMI management and has telemedicine capabilities.
RescueNet® CaseReview on the X Series simplifies collecting case files. With the push of a button, medics can directly send X Series files to the service’s system. Case files are available without delay and bring same-day debriefing or system-wide performance analytics within reach.
Resuscitation on the Move
Attendees will have the opportunity to experience moving patients with ongoing mechanical CPR using the AutoPulse® Resuscitation System. Participants will experience how quickly the AutoPulse can be deployed using the new Quick Case, which allows EMS providers to continue providing high-quality CPR while moving patients around tight corners and down steep stairs. Designed for Resuscitation on the Move™, a recent study showed that the AutoPulse had a significant survival benefit compared to manual CPR when resuscitation efforts lasted longer than 16 minutes.2 In a meta-analysis of 12 comparative clinical trials, the AutoPulse improved the odds of return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) by 62% when compared to manual CPR.3
When used in the hospital, the AutoPulse helps staff achieve a more organized code when resources are constrained, especially on nights and weekends. In the cardiac catheterization lab, it helps to keep staff members safe from radiation.
Resuscitation Solutions for the Hospital Environment
ZOLL’s resuscitation platform is designed to promote consistent, high-quality CPR and high-current defibrillation for adults and pediatrics. The technologies included in our R Series monitor/defibrillators include Real CPR Help to provide real-time feedback on compression quality, See-Thru CPR to reduce pause time by filtering the CPR artifact, and EtCO2 to signal the earliest changes in patient condition. ZOLL offers its customers more than just a way to deliver a shock. We offer tools to help improve CPR quality, which improves outcomes.
Ventilation Made Easy
ZOLL’s line of transport ventilators is designed to provide easy-to-use, effective ventilation during all phases of patient transport, to meet the needs of both the pre-hospital and hospital environments. Weighing less than 4.5 kg and offering multiple modes of ventilation, combined with ZOLL’s unique Smart HelpTM technology, ZOLL ventilators are the ideal solution to provide ventilation therapy when transporting patients.
