The 2010 AHA Guidelines emphasize the importance of performing high quality CPR in order to improve outcomes from sudden cardiac arrest, but how do you know if your rate and depth are where they need to be for a full two minutes?
Now you can test your skill with the ZOLL CPR Challenge.
Schedule a CPR Challenge Today!
What is involved?
Staff members perform 2 minutes of CPR without any feedback, then with a ZOLL defibrillator with Real CPR Help®. The data is downloaded into our CodeNet® Resuscitation Data Management software program, which gives you complete CPR feedback, including analysis of CPR performance; average rate, average depth, percent of time compressions are in target.
What do you get?
- Your score, which tells you what percent of the compressions were on target with and without Real CPR Help feedback. See the actual rate and depth of compressions!
- A booklet, Squeezing High Performance out of CPR, that carries with it one contact hour of educational credit (1 CME).
Logistics
Schedule a CPR Challenge with your ZOLL representative. We will bring everything needed to conduct the challenge but it will be helpful if at least one educational staff member can assist us.
Generally, a challenge runs about 4 hours and can give about 50 people the opportunity to compete. We will provide posters for you to inform staff of the upcoming challenge. You should choose a public place to hold the challenge - a lot of friendly competition generates enthusiasm and a non-threatening atmosphere. Open the competition to all who wish to test their skills, nurses, physicians and ancillary staff.
We will need two tables for the sign up area and to put the computers and products and either a low table for performing CPR or a carpeted area so participants can work on the floor. Then just show up and watch the fun while your staff learns about the challenge of delivering good CPR!
