Position/Title: International Sales Trainer

Reports to: Senior Manager International Sales Training

Start date: January 2018

Primary Purpose

Develop and deliver product sales training and design materials to maximize the productivity of salespersons working for both direct operations and business partners

Background and Scope

ZOLL is a leading manufacturer of resuscitation products and solutions. We are focused on helping customers improve outcomes from resuscitation. There are four divisions: Resuscitation Products (defibrillators and mechanical chest compression), Temperature Management, Wearable Defibrillation, and Data Solutions. Products and solutions are distributed worldwide through a network of subsidiaries and distributors to hospitals, EMS services, and a wide array of public access and safety segments.

The international resuscitation product market has grown significantly over the last several years as public awareness of SCA increases. Hospital and EMS services are investing in new products as well. To support the sales organization to grow further business, we are hiring an additional International Sales Trainer.

Primary Functions

  • Develop new and enhance existing sales training programs and associated materials, including but not limited to the following media: PowerPoint, print materials, on-line training, etc.
  • Deliver content for new hire and advanced product training programs for international direct and business partner salespeople
  • Determine the training needs of the sales reps by using a needs assessment, gap analysis, testing or other tools to determine improvement needs, a plan of action for improvement areas. Follow through completion with sales rep and reporting manager.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues to support product launches and ensure that positioning and other marketing-related training content remains current
  • Deliver product and sales training at ZOLL direct organization and distributors in EMEA
  • Measure the effectiveness of training efforts through objective methods (tests and standardized skills assessments) and subjective methods (role-play feedback, etc.)

Personal Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in medical sales
  • Clinical experience as a paramedic or emergency/critical care nurse (not a must but preferred)
  • 5+ years experience in medical industry/sales or clinical education role
  • 40%-60% travel in EMEA
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to work autonomously, self-starter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Knowledge of French, German, Spanish (not a must but preferred) in addition to English
  • Must be highly motivated with the commitment to see projects through their completion.
  • Demonstrates creative thinking and a willingness to implement new approaches
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Understanding of cultural differences among various regions/countries in the world and how to work within those cultures.

  • Home residents around ca 200 km from Elst (GLD) the Netherlands is preferred
