NEW ZOLL X SERIES MONITOR/DEFIBRILATOR AND DATA PRODUCTS THAT ADVANCE RESUSCITATION TO BE SHOWCASED AT EUROPEAN RESUSCITATION COUNCIL CONGRESS

Distinguished Experts to Discuss “Getting to High Quality CPR: Man and Machine” at the ZOLL-Sponsored Lunchtime Symposium

October 16, 2012—CHELMSFORD, MASS.—ZOLL Medical Corporation, a manufacturer of resuscitation devices and related software solutions, today announced that its full line of integrated resuscitation and data management products will be on display in Stand Z01 at the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) 2012 Congress, 18-20 October 2012 in Vienna.

ZOLL, which is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Real CPR Help®, real-time CPR feedback technology incorporated into virtually all ZOLL defibrillators, is a principal sponsor of the meeting, which is expected to draw 1,100 attendees from around the world.

“The ERC meeting theme, “working together to save lives,” dovetails precisely with ZOLL’s focus on developing the most advanced resuscitation devices and software to enable rescuers to deliver the highest quality CPR and resuscitation capabilities,” said ZOLL President Jonathan A. Rennert. “By focusing on improving rescuer capabilities, and by working to increase public access to life-saving technologies, we hope to help increase sudden cardiac arrest survival.”

The Small, Powerful ZOLL X Series™ Monitor/Defibrillator

At less than 6 kilograms (12 pounds), the X Series Monitor/Defibrillator is about half the size and weight of competitive full-featured monitor/defibrillators—yet far more powerful, with no compromise in display size, capability, or performance. Designed specifically for EMS and critical care transport, the X Series is based on a platform developed for the military and air medical operations, setting a new standard in ruggedness and durability.
Among numerous other advanced features, the X Series provides split screen viewing and integrated WiFi, Bluetooth®, and USB capabilities for data uploads and cell modem communication.

ERC attendees visiting the ZOLL exhibit can also learn why the following are favored by EMS services and hospitals worldwide:

  • The RescueNet® Data Management Suite comprises the only fully integrated information management system with the ability to improve clinical and operational performance by collecting and analyzing data across EMS or Fire organizations, including all data from time of call through payment.
  • The AutoPulse® Non-Invasive Cardiac Support Pump, with its load-distributing LifeBand® that squeezes the entire chest to improve blood flow to the heart and lungs, provides high-quality, uninterrupted CPR chest compressions. SCA victims receive consistent, high-quality chest compressions while rescuers are freed to perform other critical interventions safely during transport.
  • The R Series® Code-Ready® family of defibrillators for hospitals feature exclusive technology that sets a new standard for simplicity and operational readiness for in-hospital resuscitation efforts.
  • The ZOLL Intravascular Temperature Management System (IVTM™) provides precise and rapid control of a patient's core temperature for both cooling and warming applications.

The ZOLL R and X Series defibrillators also offer See-Thru CPR®, a breakthrough technology that filters out CPR artifact from the ECG to help rescuers minimize the duration of CPR interruptions.
CPR Challenge
ZOLL invites exhibition attendees to participate in the CPR Challenge. An AED Plus® will be awarded to the person achieving the best rate and depth of chest compressions during the show to donate to a charity of their choice.

Lunchtime Symposium: “Getting to High-Quality CPR: Man and Machine”

ZOLL will host a lunchtime symposium from 12:30 p.m. to 13:30 p.m. Friday, 19 October in the Prinz Eugen Sahl Lecture Room at the Hofburg Conference Centre.
