Job Summary

In this newly created leadership position the individual will be responsible for all the Financial Planning activities and reporting, Cost Accounting, and Capital asset management for the Resuscitation business. This includes annual Mid-Term Planning, Business Planning, Budgeting, and monthly updates of the quarterly forecasts.  This position will lead a team to develop and maintain Executive level reports and processes using the Oracle ERP system along with several other financial software tools. In addition the position will present and provide support for the company’s gross margin forecasts and results, guidance on strategic decisions including business development, capital allocation, and operational performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Presents Financial and Operating results to Executive Management on a Quarterly basis and on an as needed basis. Provide supporting presentations and recommendations to senior leaders

  • Builds and drives efficient, effective, and comprehensive processes for developing financial plans and models which support the Company's strategic objectives and provide value-added insights, including short- and long-range strategic plans

  • Plays the lead role in compiling, analyzing, and presenting financial and market data to a broad audience for Mid-Term Planning, Business Planning, Budgeting, and Quarterly Forecasting

  • Serves as a key liaison with Corporate Finance, ensuring the Resuscitation Division's performance is well understood and that accurate information is provided internally and externally

  • Responsible for overseeing the development, updating and maintain the Standard Cost System and the Capital assets in the Oracle ERP System

  • Major focus on analyzing operations activities including services revenue and operations, to identify trends and opportunities with major emphasis on gross margin.

  • Partners with the IT and Shared Services teams to implement processes, systems, and tools to optimize how financial information is distributed and analyzed.

  • Partners cross-functionally to create seamless internal and external customer experiences, resolve issues, while not being afraid to professionally challenge executive decisions when appropriate.

  • Develops and maintains consistent periodic metrics to educate and drive business growth and profitability throughout the Resuscitation business.

  • Responsible for the recruitment, performance management, and career development of their team.

  • Perform special projects as requested by the Vice President and President

  • Experience implementing and using enterprise-wide planning tools and processes preferred.

  • Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.

  • Ability to compile and present financial, operational, and market results to a broad audience

  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results

  • Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate a team to achieve results.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field required. 

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive FP&A and/or corporate finance management experience required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams required

  • Oracle ERP experience required

  • Experience implementing and using enterprise-wide planning tools and processes preferred.
