R-Series – Recommended Data Transfer Settings

  1. Enter System Configuration mode
  2. Press ‘Change Config’
  3. Use the arrow softkeys to navigate to the “Data Transfer” menu and press ‘Enter’
  4. Press ‘Next Item’ to scroll, and ‘Change Value’ to cycle through the available options for each setting. We recommend setting:
    1. Full Disclosure Transfer Mode – Server
    2. Defib History Transfer Mode – BOTH
    3. Enable Report ID – No
    4. Time Sync – Yes

    5. Report Transfer Reminder – No
    6. Enable Auto Case Upload – YES (for CaseReview customers)
      (new with MCU 17.08)
    7. Delete After Auto Case Upload – YES (for CaseReview customers)
      (new with MCU 17.08)
    8. Send both FUL and DCK together – YES
      (new with MCU 20.01)
  5. Next, press ‘Category List’
  6. Use the arrow softkeys to navigate to the “Readiness Test” menu and press ‘Enter’
    1. Automatic Readiness Test – Once a Day
    2. Readiness Test Time – 2 am*
    3. Print Readiness Test Results – Only if Fail
    4. Audible Alert – No (default, cannot be changed)
    5. One Step Padz Installed – Facility Preference**
  7. Press ‘Category List’
  8. Press ‘Main Menu’
  9. Press ‘Exit Config’
  10. Choose “Save Changes and Exit” to commit your changes
  11. Optional – Save your setting changes to a Compact Flash card
  12. Power off the defibrillator
  13. *We recommend setting the Readiness Test Time to 2am for ClockSync. The R-Series synchronizes its internal clock with your ClockSync server following its automatic readiness test. Because Daylight Savings time changes occur at 2am, that allows the defibrillator to perform its automatic readiness test, transmit the results, and then immediately correct its clock for the DST change.
