Michele Snyder is a woman with a mission. 17-year-old Jenny Snyder's heart stopped suddenly during soccer practice, and she died of sudden cardiac arrest. It was later discovered that Jenny had an undetected congenital heart defect. Her life might have been saved if there had been an automated external defibrillator at the scene.

Jenny’s mother, Michele Snyder, is now trying to protect other children from sudden cardiac arrest. She started the Jennifer Lynn Snyder Teen Heart Foundation to raise awareness about sudden cardiac arrest, the importance of regular EKG screenings and the importance of having AEDs in schools. She hopes that her message will help save other children’s lives by being prepared.
