AED Pro Guidelines Upgrade

Upgrade your AED Pro to make it fully compliant with AHA or ERC 2015 Guidelines

AED Pro® software version 2.84 or higher fully complies with the 2015 American Heart Association (AHA) and European Resuscitation (ERC) Guidelines. Real CPR Help® will now guide chest compressions to a depth of at least 2 inches (AHA) or between 5 and 6 centimeters (ERC).

If your AED Pro is running v2.84 or higher, you don't need to do anything.

How to determine the software version

AED Pro units manufactured after April 2011 are fully compliant with the 2015 AHA and ERC Guidelines.

You can determine the manufacturing date of your AED Pro by referring to the two numbers and letter following the “AA” in the serial number. The two numbers following the AA indicate the year of manufacture, and the letter following the year indicates month of manufacture. For example, serial number AA12B123456 would have been manufactured in February of 2012.

What it takes

You need to have ZOLL® Administrative Software (ZAS) v2.84 installed on your PC, and you will need an infrared port (IrDA device) to communicate with your AED Pro. With ZAS and an IrDA port you can easily upgrade the software in any AED Pro to v2.84.

For both the AHA and ERC 2015 Guidelines that’s all you need to do—upgrade the software.

To get started:

Download AED Pro ZAS v2.84 Upgrade Software after providing a valid serial number from an AED Pro.
• Or purchase a ZAS v2.84 software CD using a credit card.
Purchase an IrDA USB port for your computer.
• Or contact your ZOLL Sales Representative or your Authorized ZOLL Distributor to order directly from ZOLL with a purchase order.

After upgrading your AED Pro:

You must register your upgrade with ZOLL to preserve your warranty and make certain you receive notification of any Device Corrective Actions that may occur in the future. Registration data are NOT forwarded to any other organization under any circumstances, and are NOT used for marketing purposes without your permission.
