Job Summary:  

Supports the Director, Risk Management regarding all aspects of the enterprise-wide insurance program. Responsibilities include assisting with the purchase of insurance programs, management of claims and loss control activities, management of relationships with third party service providers including brokers, insurers and other TPAs, identifying exposures, recommending solutions, implementing approved programs, promoting loss prevention. Long term position with growth potential.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with review of insurance requirements in customer and vendor contracts, including participation in calls with contract managers, legal, sales and customers/vendors

  • Assist Director in managing insurance programs including property, liability (general and products), errors and omissions, auto, workers’ compensation, financial products, and surety. Will include review of policy language, updating insurance carriers as needed and oversight of the policies. Follow up with insurance brokers and carriers to obtain any outstanding policies and endorsements. Maintain schedule of insurance.

  • Assist with coordination of world-wide property/inventory values

  • Assist with coordination of International insurance

  • Assist the Director in preparing and coordination of applications, business interruption worksheets, specification and data requirements for insurance quotations.

  • Manage data collection with division personnel to obtain necessary data for renewals. Will include direct contact with all entity personnel to achieve this task.

  • Assist Director with Merger and Acquisitions - Risk Management is part of the Corporate Due Diligence team and provides assistance on acquisition due-diligence and support for divestitures and dispositions as it relates to insurance.

  • Routine insurance request processing including adding new property, new acquisitions, insurance premium audit requests, workers’ compensation filings with monopolistic states, policy inquiries and other related inquiries, including responding to insurance coverage questions from internal colleagues

  • Manage Clinical Trial insurance and CT Agreements

  • Assist with quarterly Workers’ Compensation claims reviews enterprise-wide

  • Assist Director and facilities personnel in review of loss prevention, safety and insurance carrier recommendations

  • Assist with resolution of claims by communicating with adjusters, tracking claim progress, and closing internal files upon claim resolution

  • Manage the issuance and storage of a high volume of insurance certificates for all ZOLL divisions. This will include contact with customer. Must be able to explain why ZOLL does not agree to or cannot comply with certain requirements  

  • Manage auto schedules and auto ID cards for owned or leased vehicles - Approximately 40

  • Research and implement RMIS to include vendor/supplier certificate tracking; customer certificate software; property location information

Skills Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance including executive management lines

  • Ability to review and interpret insurance policies

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and customers

  • Ability to write clearly in a variety of communication settings and styles allowing messages to get across with the desired effect.

  • Must be a team player

  • Ability to find common ground and solve problems

  • Ability to work independently

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

Minimum of six years experience in commercial insurance or risk management field including claims management.
