Job Summary:

As Associate Government Contract Specialist, you will perform administrative activities for the Military/Government Sales Channel within the Government Contracts Department at ZOLL. This position will report to the Manager Government Contracts Division in support the Military/Government sales channel internal/external customers at ZOLL.

Essential Function

  • Maintain current knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
  • Review and prepare solicitation/bid (RFI, RFQ, RFP) submissions in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications in a timely manner
  • Review Federal/Military Agreements for compliance with ZOLL’s business policies and legal requirements.
  • Research existing or legacy contracts to leverage previously agreed to language
  • Responsible for administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with Federal/Military
  • Review customer redlines to Government/Military Agreements and pass to Manager for completion
  • Prepare quotes for Federal/Military Sales Team.
  • Maintain current database of product information and other relevant information for bid submission.
  • Update and distribute Government information.
  • Assist Government Contracts Manager with negotiations of contract terms and conditions with customers as well as ensuring that pricing integrity is maintained through conference calls, email, etc.
  • Acts as a liaison between Government Contracts Department staff, Sales, Legal and other departments as required
  • Provide support to Government Contracts Manager and Federal/Military Sales Team as needed
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for the sales team regarding federal/military contract content and applicability to their customers
  • Interface with Customer Service, field sales, Risk Management, legal, and others on contract/pricing issues
  • Respond to miscellaneous data/report requests, requiring analytical thinking
  • Typically handles routine or standard form contracts and related documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures

Skills Requirements:

  • Experience in contract review; Federal Acquisition Regulations experience a plus
  • MS Word track changes experience
  • Must be confident in ability to work independently after initial training
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills; high level of proficiency with MS Office applications is critical;
  • Knowledge of reporting software (i.e. Access, R&R, Crystal);
  • Recent experience working with Oracle or other similar ERP system
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize projects
  • Proven ability to quickly establish rapport, credibility, trust, and support within all levels of the Organization
  • Basic knowledge of contracting concepts, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), applicable international contract law, or public contract acquisition law and regulations
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of contract experience required
