The Staff Manufacturing Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end project delivery effort including: planning and schedule development; oversight of project status; managing project team resources; ensuring project milestones are met; project status reporting; monitoring to keep projects on schedule and to budget within identified standards; and responsible for risk identification, mitigation and escalation as required through proper channels to ensure consistent and efficient delivery.

Duties and responsibilities:
• Manage the overall planning, execution and delivery of complex projects involving various company departments, suppliers, and outside agencies.
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and project stakeholders/sponsors.
• Effectively manage stakeholder interaction and identify opportunity to increase stakeholder satisfaction.
• Develop, communicate, execute and lead projects from initiation through delivery.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, to scope and with desired quality.
• Build and lead effective cross-functional project teams: identify and acquire needed resources and define and assign roles.
• Set, continually manage and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and project stakeholders.
• Minimize exposure and risk through early identification, escalate as appropriate and provide thoughtful and timely recommendation for risk avoidance.
• Proactively manage changes in project scope
• Establish and facilitate regular project team meetings.
• Use MS Project or similar tool(s) to manage project timeline, milestones, ‘critical path’ and deliverables.
Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline. Master’s Degree a plus.
• 5-7 years’ experience in a project management role or manufacturing and service operations environment. Medical device manufacturing and DME experience a plus.
• PMI training and PMP Certification a plus.
• Strong track record of delivering results on complex projects.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project and MS Visio.
• Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity and analytical skills; efficient planning, organization, time management, multitasking and prioritizing skills; ability to work with minimum direction/ambiguity; ability to deal with problems and make appropriate judgment calls to insure the correct outcome.

Working conditions
This position is generally performed in a typical office environment that is usually quiet. Employee is expected to work collaboratively with team members, as well as able to work independently with limited supervision. Work will require significant computer and telephone work.


Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
