This is a remote position.

Field based representative responsible for increased levels of revenue attainment, exception management, and customer education, while working collaboratively with the LifeVest team to enhance sales activities and tasks at the direction of the Area Manager for Sales Support

Duties and responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include engaging, educating and empowering support staff via one-on-one discussions, and group in-services. The SSR should possess the ability to enable prescribing entities to become self-sufficient with enrollment of prescribers, and subsequent utilization of LifeVest Network (LVN). The most crucial task of an SSR is to manage and control the successful & timely closure of exceptions, while securing revenue, and assisting with vacancy management.

  • Develop and effectively communicate general understanding of the Risk Behind Sudden Cardiac Arrest, What is the LifeVest, How to Order the LifeVest, and How to Best Utilize LVN2.0 within a hospital and office setting. Through this education, the desired outcome is to increase the overall awareness of the LifeVest, as well as heighten or enhance the operational efficiencies within the hospital and office settings.
  • Effectively engage, educate, and empower support staff to identify patients
  • Enroll and train customers on LifeVest Network
  • Hold, and conduct weekly face to face meetings with the TM’s to review exceptions, in-service schedules, prescriber data, and ensure clarity between the TM and the SSR’s objectives.
  • Understand, communicate, and train hospital and office staff to submit complete orders. Provide education and support to appropriate staff to reduce medical order exceptions, thus ensuring an increase in successful first-time order submission.
  • Manage recurring revenue and reauthorization process for current patients
  • Facilitate additional documentation collection for medical orders and authorizations to ensure a continued stream of insurance coverage for the patient.
  • Develop and master a full working knowledge of all 3rd party payer requirements
  • Provide territory support during times of Territory Manager absence or vacancy (vacation, leave, time out of territory for training / meetings, etc.)
  • Ability to influence clinical decision-making process through presentation and discussion of 4 existing in-services that expand the employee’s knowledge and understanding behind SCA and the LifeVest.
  • Collaborate with Area Manager of Sales Support to identify and coach to areas of opportunity for SSR and Senior SSR
  • Work collaboratively with AMSS to onboard and train new SSR’s
  • Track recurring revenue and reauthorization trends, to identify opportunities for improvement within specific Sales Support territories
  • Foster a team environment within area, lead by example, motivate, inspire team
  • Regularly conduct scheduled field visits with SSRs
  • May assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned
  • Provide verbal and written follow-up and observation reports that highlight and address the SSR’s strengths and areas of improvement or development

 

Qualifications

Educations and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • One year minimum in SSR Role
  • Prefer Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent education and relevant working experience; or completion of a Nursing Program
  • Clinical experience providing proficiency navigating hospital flow, document collection, along with competent and confident provider and patient interaction
  • Cardiology clinical acumen preferred
  • Ability to influence clinical decision-making process through presentation and discussion of 4 existing in-services that expand the employee’s knowledge and understanding behind SCA and the LifeVest.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required.

General Skills:  Ability to proactively plan and work autonomously in close collaboration and communication with TM’s, SSRs, SSR-Leads, and Area Manager of Sales Support. An SSR Lead must possess:

  • The ability to be flexible in regard to one’s daily schedule
  • A high sense of urgency
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task  
  • Problem solving mentality, while being accountable for each task from beginning to end.
  • On occasion, one will be called upon to fill in during atypical hours (evenings and weekends) to cover vacation, or an open territory
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office (including Excel, Word, Outlook) is preferred.

Working conditions:  This job is a field-based position.  Employee will be responsible for working daily in hospitals, doctors’ offices and other medical establishments within the assigned territory.  Occasionally may be required work atypical hours (evenings and weekends) based on business needs.

Supervisory responsibility: 

This position has no direct reports.  Employee will be responsible for job coaching and mentoring Sales Support Representatives.
