Job Summary

The Senior Financial Compliance Auditor will join the Corporate team and report into the Manager, Global Financial Controls.  This position will play a vital role in continuously improving ZOLL’s global control environment by conducting a variety of audits, sharing best practices, and assisting the global Business Process Leaders implement process and control improvements.  The Senior Financial Compliance Auditor will experience great visibility throughout the organization and will have the opportunity to interact with teammates across the globe.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and performing operational, financial, IT and compliance audits.  In coordination with the Manager, Global Financial Controls, conduct periodic risk assessments and determine scope of reviews. Develop test plans and execute testing procedures while organizing and maintaining supporting documentation.

  • Assist in keeping control documentation current (Process Narratives and Risk Control Matrices) for all ZOLL locations and divisions by collaborating with Global Finance Leaders and performing process walkthroughs.

  • Develop recommendations and effectively communicate to Business Process leaders to improve the overall design and operating effectiveness of control activities within ZOLL’s global control environment.  Assist in managing issue listing and follow-up with Business Process Leaders to ensure remediation efforts and recommendations are implemented.

  • Develop formal written reports to communicate audit results to management.

  • Collaborate with Business Process Leaders to coordinate gathering of documents and responses to audit requests from external auditors.

  • Keep current on all financial regulatory requirements and all accounting and reporting pronouncements, including FASB, SEC, and PCAOB requirements

  • Perform special projects for Manager, Global Financial Controls, VP of Corporate Finance & Corporate Controller, or ZOLL Legal Counsel, as requested.

  • Assist with organizing, analyzing, and formatting data to comply with annual Sunshine Act reporting.

  • Work with IT teams to understand and evaluate control environment of network and applications.

  • Take an active role in educating and training Business Process Leaders on ZOLL’s control framework and occasional financial related compliance regulations (ie Sunshine Act, FCPA, etc.)

Qualifications and Preferred Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or IT disciplines

  • 3 - 5+ years of related professional work experience – such as; public accounting/internal audit

  • Experience with internal control frameworks is required

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).

  • Experience with data analysis tools is a plus

  • Oracle and/or Hyperion/HFM experience is a plus
