ZOLL is recruiting for a Security Manager to be based out of its Chelmsford, Massachusetts HQ location. This position will interact regularly with department leads, employees, visitors, vendors and local public safety officials.

Job Summary:

Develop and execute a site security program to ensure the safeguarding of our assets and personnel at ZOLL HQ in Chelmsford, MA.  This role will also provide support to other ZOLL locations in the U.S.  This position will manage a team of contract security officers.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as the key point of contact to ensure the delivery of high-quality security services; initiates any necessary corrective actions in a timely manner

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with local, state, and federal agencies.

  • Educates ZOLL employees on physical security policies and standards

  • Participate in the planning, development, and execution of the day-to-day security operations.

  • Provides input to company initiatives; promptly assists in resolution of legal, financial, human resources, and administrative issues relating to security.

  • Collaborate in the development and growth of the ZOLL security and emergency response strategy and procedures.

  • Determine risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Supervise/train/coach third party security personnel maintaining 24/7/365 coverage.

  • Support and/or lead ZOLL security project installations/upgrades.

  • Formulate and enforce consistent application of company policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for daily security operations, including security alarm monitoring.

  • Act as the security liaison to all ZOLL departments.

  • Partners in the development of emergency response plans and facilitates drills and exercises.

  • Ensure that the department milestones, goals, and objectives are set and tracked.

  • Investigate and document reported concerns or actual incidents surrounding safety and security. 

  • Participate in facility renovation/construction projects to ensure compliance with overall security strategy.

  • Prepare budgets for security operations & capital improvements.

  • Monitor expenses & review financial reports.

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong business and interpersonal skills. The ability to analyze, understand, and explain the value proposition of security initiatives.

  • Must be self-motivated, highly organized, articulate, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to see the big picture as well as strong attention to detail

  • Possess a strong teamwork ethic; must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team

  • Ability to work smart under pressure and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment where tight deadlines and unexpected complexities can crop up

  • Motivated, inspirational leader, forward thinking, intellectually curious, and results oriented

  • High physical mobility to cover a large campus and a valid driver’s license to visit other nearby ZOLL sites.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Experience using project management platforms highly desired

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Security Management, or other related business security fields (police, military, career security professional), highly desired.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant security operations supervisory experience. . 

  • Experience in an office/light industrial environment required.

  • Experience with an enterprise, integrated access control, alarm, and video management system.

  • Professional security certifications (Active Shooter Training, Conflict Management, De-escalation Training) are a plus.

  • Fluent in English language, additional languages are a plus.
