The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the operation support and ongoing implementations of hardware and software solutions.  As the perfect candidate, you will have a vast array of skills supporting virtual, storage, and cloud environments. You will work on local infrastructure and help coordinate efforts at remote sites.

Essential Duties

  • Ensure the infrastructure is configured and distributed correctly to meet stability and performance objectives.
  • Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission-critical IT Infrastructure services.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure environment by monitoring performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.  Apply revisions and updates as appropriate.
  • Manage crisis situations and work under pressure to resolve problems.
  • Produce clear technical documentation and diagrams.
  • Provide 3rd level technical support.  Perform troubleshooting as required.
  • Work with team members, equipment vendors and consultants to install, repair or reconfigure IT Infrastructure components.
  • Champion automation, proactive and self-management, of infrastructure and deployment.
  • Develop sound understanding of IT operations and related applications, IT systems, and business-related processes and procedures.
  • Stay current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommend ways to take advantage of new technology.
  • Provide periodic after-hours on-call support and respond to system failures.
  • Perform additional related duties as requested or required.


  • 5+ years prior industry experience (Enterprise Preferred).
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science related is Preferred) or equivalent work experience in technology related field.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux/Windows based environments.
  • Strong cloud experience with Azure and AWS.
  • Experience with monitoring systems.

Preferred but not required

  • VMware Certification (VCP)
  • Microsoft Certification (MCSA/SE)
  • HPE Nimble storage experience
  • Backup systems and solutions (Veeam preferred)
