Job Summary:

Support activities relating to the daily production and test environment of ZOLL Medical products. This includes: daily manufacturing and test support, process and yield improvement, floor layout, process definition, and documentation. Competent in the use of general purpose laboratory equipment, methods, and practices is required. Operates generally under the supervision of manufacturing engineering personnel in the performance of the above responsibilities and does not have any direct or indirect reports.

Essential Functions:

  • Daily production support to address problems with production tooling, capital equipment, and test fixtures.

  • Troubleshoots manufacturing failures or conducts laboratory activities in support of root cause analysis and identification of corrective actions in conjunction with yield improvement activities.

  • Assists with process development and improvement activities. Supports the implementation and validation of process and product documentation.

  • Develops and implements various tooling and fixturing to meet the needs of the Manufacturing department.

  • Supports and implements preventative maintenance and calibration programs.

  • Other duties as required.

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level and rework PCB assemblies with surface mount and through-hole components.

  • Ability to read and work with technical drawings and electrical schematics.

  • Familiarity with operating in an ISO-9000 and Lean Manufacturing environment.

  • Computer literacy is required.

  • Familiarity with FDA QSR documentation a plus.

Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of a high school degree with experience in electronics or a Vocational/Technical degree or equivalent.

  • Should have a minimum of 1 year of direct floor support experience in an electro­ mechanical and electronics assembly and test environment including troubleshooting activities and the operation of automated production equipment.
