Position Summary:  The Senior Revenue Accountant/Financial Analyst will serve as a member of the FP&A team responsible for the calculation of monthly revenue and review of revenue recognition.  In addition, this position works closely with the Reimbursement team to understand payer class behaviors and analyze data in order to make appropriate revenue accounting recommendations to management that are in accordance with GAAP.  This position is responsible for revenue predictive modeling and monthly, quarterly and annual revenue projections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the calculation of monthly revenue and preparation of journal entries from other business system data
  • Works with the Reimbursement Business Analyst to understand the billing module and transactions that generate revenue
  • Responsible for the revenue predictive modeling and revenue projections on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Develop s and prepare s monthly metrics , productivity reporting and analysis of overall revenue and Accounts Receivable trends
  • Utilizes a wide degree of creativity and initiative along with experience and judgment to accomplish work goals
  • Provide s support to management and other internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc data analysis, special projects, and other duties as assigned       

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting in combination with 5-7 years of relevant  experience; MBA a plus

  • Accounting experience in combination with strong analytical and technology/software skills, including pivot table and v-lookup Excel capability to extract, sort and graph data.   ERP system knowledge and basic proficiency with databases

  • Revenue Recognition 
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Competencies                                               

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong analytical and technology/software skills including pivot table and v-lookup Excel capability to extract, sort and graph data
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • ERP system knowledge and basic proficiency with database
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams/projects
  • Previous healthcare experience strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Working Conditions:  This position will work in an office environment that is usually quiet.  Employee is expected to work collaboratively with team members, as well as able to work independently with limited supervision.  The work is highly analytical and most work is performed on a computer.

Physical Requirements:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, type, read and write.  The employee may be required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
