Cardiac Management Solutions

The Cardiac Management Solutions division of ZOLL Medical Corporation develops products to protect and manage cardiac patients, including the LifeVest® wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD), the ZOLL cardiac monitor, and associated technologies.

Job purpose

Provide administrative support to the Reimbursement Department.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Copy data and compile records and reports.
  • Operate computer terminal to input and retrieve data.
  • Review and identify types of faxed documentation received.
  • Triage faxes based on criteria set by management.
  • Identifies and labels orders received according to insurance carrier.
  • Request authorization and execute follow up on existing requests from insurance carriers, via phone or web portals.
  • Obtain necessary documentation (medical order, clinical notes, testing) to support authorization requests as necessary per payer guidelines.
  • Operate computer terminal to input and retrieve data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Proficiency in navigating several software systems concurrently
  • Attention to detail
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with MS Office Suite

Working conditions

This position is generally performed in a typical office environment that is usually quiet.  Employee is expected to work collaboratively with team members, as well as able to work independently with limited supervision.  Work will require significant computer and telephone work.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
