Job Summary:

Write, edit, and proofread marketing and promotional materials, including those that are clinical in nature. Serve as an integral part of a dynamic integrated services team that is responsible for developing compelling campaigns and comprised of digital and print designers, editors, project managers, and a translations coordinator.

Essential Functions:

The marketing copywriter will collaborate with marketing and other internal teams, domestic and international, to develop, write, and edit copy for pieces ranging from product brochures and spec sheets to e-blasts and website pages. This role will report to the Manager, Editorial Content in Chelmsford, Mass.

The Marketing Copywriter/Content Editor will:

  • Collaborate with domestic and international marketing managers, marketing specialists, designers, and digital specialists to conceptualize and create effective, on-message marketing materials
  • Write and edit a variety of print and digital marketing collateral, including brochures, web pages, e-blasts, flyers, scripts for animated videos, whitepapers, and other collateral
  • Write copy for core business market segments and their products, including Public Safety, EMS, Hospital, and Military/Government
  • Participate in regular website content reviews
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple departments, including Human Resources, Technical Publications, and others

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in marketing writing, creative writing, clinically oriented writing
  • Excellent editing skills and attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and demanding workloads under tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and client-service skills
  • Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively and collaboratively within a cross-departmental team
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat; experience with inMotion or other project management systems and content management systems a plus

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  •  3+ years of professional writing/editing experience, medical device or healthcare environment a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., journalism, English, communications, and/or writing)
