Successful candidate will be responsible for meeting or exceeding company sales and profits through effective management of sales managers, specialists and territory managers. As a leader, this executive will analyze the product strategy, positioning, customer acceptance; create eventual sales strategies and sales plans for introducing product for this start up endeavor. This individual may be based out of the Canadian office and will report into the Group Vice President of North American EMS Sales.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Proven success in managing a sales team
  • Success in Leading Change management within Canadian EMS
  • Experience working with many different hospital departments in implementing new technology
  • Experience in C Suite relationship building and stakeholder influencing
  • Proven ability to build strong, lasting relationships in organizations (internal and external)
  • Leadership – hiring, developing people
  • Track record of successful collaboration with marketing for product launches and improvement strategies
  • Provides strategic and tactical direction to sales organization
  • Establish annual sales forecasts, objectives and corresponding action plans by region and territory that will meet company plan and marketing objectives
  • Accountable for developing and staying within approved spending budgets
  • Responsible for hiring, training, appraisal system, personnel development and appropriate terminations when necessary
  • Establishes territorial boundaries with clarified duties and job descriptions for specialists and territory managers
  • With the sales training manager, initiates, develops and implements effective product and sales training programs
  • In concert with company objectives, develops compensation and incentive programs will attract and motivate sales staff
  • Develop, maintain and communicate appropriate performance measurement systems
  • Maintains and distributes update new business opportunities and forecasts for major product groups by territory, region and nation
  • Is ultimately responsible for all administrative tasks relative to the sales force.
  • Is responsible for developing and maintaining management book that includes at a minimum organization chart, job descriptions, sales plan, commission plans, quota’s key reports, expense guidelines and budgets
  • Spends initially 60% of time in field with sales personnel
  • Conducts and directs content of annual and regional sales meeting
  • Works closely with marketing to develop new products and concepts for sales and marketing programs

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 2 years of national sales management experience
  • Experience with new product launches and sales team creation
  • Skills in hiring
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills
  • Proven effective influencing and negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal, written & presentation
  • Self-starter, self-motivated
  • Proven team player
  • Ability to travel frequently

 

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
