Supervisor, Warehouse

Location: Canada


Primary Purpose:

Directs the activities of the Warehouse Group to include Receiving, Warehousing, Cycle Counting and Shipping.

Essential Functions:

  • Establishes and maintains the operational procedures governing the daily activities of the Warehouse group. 
  • Through direct supervision and through the use of lead personnel manages the receiving, warehousing, internal distribution, cycle counting and shipping of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of inventory levels (data) maintained in the Inventory Control System (Oracle).
  • Ensures all system (Oracle) transactions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Directs and/or performs cycle counting activities for on-hand inventories or other scheduled inventory counts.
  • Regularly confers with Operations team on inventory levels, order status and deliveries. Initiates direct action to correct deficiencies
  • Ensures subordinate personnel are properly trained and capable of performing their assigned duties in a safe, efficient manner.  Monitors work areas to ensure areas are properly maintained, safety equipment is being utilized and required maintenance is being performed on equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provides direction and supervision to all Warehouse personnel either directly or through lead personnel.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting in appraising performance; recommending rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Ensures all work is conducted in a safe, efficient manner and that the warehouse is maintained in a neat, orderly fashion. Verify all transactions and receipts using ERP system. Supports and executes all ISO13485 requirements including reporting metrics as outlined in the Company quality objectives

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or technical school; and three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  A minimum of one year’s supervisory experience is required
  • Demonstrated experience with ERP inventory control databases
  • Prior cycle count experience with demonstrated results
