Job Summary:

The Talent Leader is responsible for partnering with the Head of Corporate HR to help design and execute the global talent and culture strategy for ZOLL.  This newly created role will support our businesses growth by successfully training, coaching and developing our current and future leaders and overseeing a diverse and inclusive culture across our global organization.

This role will be instrumental in helping to drive the execution of ZOLL’s talent strategy to support talent planning, assessment, engagement and development.  They will need to understand the business strategy to help align talent, culture, and capabilities in support of near and long-term goals. 

This person will report to the Head of Corporate HR, based in Chelmsford, MA, and will work collaboratively with HR and key business leaders across ZOLL’s many divisions.  ZOLL has over 5000 employees worldwide that could be positively impacted by the work of the Talent Leader.


Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of ZOLL’s people strategy.  Help develop the potential of ZOLL’s talent and ensure the organization is executing towards its succession plans.
  • Design and influence a full suite of development experiences to strengthen business and individual capability and performance for identified top talent.  Establish credibility throughout the organization and set an example as a proactive talent leader.  Earn respect by demonstrating a sound understanding of business objectives and goals and expertise in the talent and development domain.
  • Oversee initiatives related to ZOLL’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, including responsibilities for communications, programs and activities.
  • Manage various projects and work collaboratively with colleagues across the HR organization and the business.
  • Serve as an internal consultant on talent and development projects.
  • Create people leadership development content, facilitate and deliver programming for new and experienced people leaders to provide them with management essentials.
  • Perform analysis of HR metrics and qualitative information to gauge organizational health.  Talent analysis and insights will inform the design of and measure the effectiveness of talent initiatives.
  • Coach and influence senior leadership on their active engagement in talent planning and development processes.
  • Oversee vendor relationships to ensure leadership and diversity/inclusion programs and services meet ZOLL’s needs and objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in talent management or related HR function
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree in a related field preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong skills and experience in managing talent initiatives, internal consulting, and facilitation.
  • Highly influential, engaging and persuasive. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to connect at all levels. 
  • Ability to work well independently.
  • Ability to both think strategically and translate strategy to tactical plans and drive implementation.
  • Credible HR professional who can interface with senior leaders; has successful track record of building and maintaining strong relationships and being a trusted advisor at all levels.
  • Experience delivering results through influence and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills, including ability to synthesize data to identify themes and create solutions to address those issues.
  • Project management skills, organization skills, and strong time management skills are required to support ability to handle multiple key projects at a time.
