Manager, Service Business Development

Location: Chelmsford, MA

Job Summary:

Improves service market position and achieves revenue growth.  Manages the day-to-day activities of the service contracts Inside Sales Representatives.  Responsible for increasing service revenue through service contracts.

Essential Functions:

  • Prospects for new revenue by building customer relationships and generating interest in new service contracts
  • Creatively identifies additional business opportunities to increase to revenue
  • Manages existing customers to ensure satisfaction with the programs and services provided
  • Visits customers to understand their needs for new program development
  • Develops new and innovative Service Programs to increase Service revenue and profitability
  • Works with Service Marketing team to create and promote new revenue generating programs
  • Executes Customer presentations on service solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Manages personnel within the Service Contracts Inside Sales team
  • Monitors team and employee productivity and provide directions, constructive feedback and coaching
  • Provides mentoring, assist in career development, coordinate training, track and administer time-off requests, and create and deliver performance reviews
  • Provides management with monthly metrics
  • Develops and maintains processes and best practices documentation and training to support department responsibilities
  • Maintains SOP procedures, updates, manuals and Employee Training Records
  • Conducts budget/expenditure planning and tracking
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience managing sales teams
  • Sales and Marketing experience
