The Cardiac Management Solutions division of ZOLL Medical Corporation develops products to protect and manage cardiac patients, including the LifeVest® wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD), the ZOLL cardiac monitor, and associated technologies.

Position Summary:  Performs General accounting and GL entries.  Will assist Senior accountants on various Finance projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs professional accounting functions involving the application of established accounting standards, principles, and practices. 
  • Performs Revenue and accounts receivable accounting.  
  • Maintains and reconciles general and subsidiary ledgers, prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other operating and financial reports.  
  • Maintains Chart of Accounts and Financial Report groupings necessary to produce accurate financial statements.  
  • Responsible for documenting both Chart of Accounts and Financial Reporting groupings.  
  • Responsible for timely processing of accounts payable for inventory related purchases and ensuring proper accounting classification of these items. 
  • Assists CFO with sales and use tax filings.
  • Activities include preparing trial balances, preparing official financial statements, exhibits, and reports.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish work goals.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Education and/or Experience:  

  • Requires a degree in accounting or finance and 5 years of relevant accounting experience.  
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access or other database management tools. 
  • Systems implementation experience with an MRP system.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems and make appropriate judgment calls to insure the correct outcome.

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
