Job Summary: 

Performs a wide variety of electromechanical production subassembly and assembly operations of a semiskilled nature to disassemble and assemble difficult and complex units in a repetitive environment. Assist the area supervisor in day to day operations of the group and also will fill in during the Supervisor's absence. 

Responsibilities

  • Assembles, disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes and tests units where operations and sequences are specified by established documentation
  • Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units
  • Operate basic electronic test equipment such as volt meters Hi-pot and leakage
  • May perform routine tasks in preparation for assembly such as cutting wire to specified size, stripping, tinning or bending wire parts, wiring and fastening terminal connections
  • Set up and operates automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Generally more than 5 years of related experience
  • Must be able to read and understand assembly documentation, blueprints and / or wire lists
  • Must be able to use small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers
  • Must be familiar with general computer operation
  • May be required to perform basic soldering of PTH and SMT assemblies
  • IPC Soldering Certification a plus
  • Must be able to lift 35 pounds
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English
  • QSR experience a plus

 

Education: 

  • High School / Trade School Graduate or equivalent
