Job Summary
The Director, Global Trade Management reports to Vice President, Quality, Regulatory, and Service and leads ZOLL's compliance activities for all international operations under senior management direction. Directs the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and systems to meet ZOLL's compliance activities and reporting requirements. Oversees the ZOLL's compliance risk management program to assess, prioritize and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks based on the standards of the Federal Sentencing Guidelines as related to the international operating units. Consults with and provides guidance and direction to the International Logistics team, Sourcing team, OM team, in all aspects of the ZOLL's compliance program. The Director will also provide leadership and direction to a team of other compliance workers.
Essential Functions
Oversees the timely and accurate entry and completion of all HTS codes for export, and import classification into/from the United States
Manages and informs the business stakeholders of all government actions/sanctions on both countries and individuals through restricted party and sanctioned territories screening.
Manage country of origin for all components and FG products
Ensure ZOLL’s compliance obligations for its products for both domestic and international supply chains is complete, accurate, and up-to-date. Work with our Business Partners, Freight Forwarders and brokers, 3PL partners, and carriers to ensure Trade Compliance is managed in ZOLL’s best interest.
Monitor all contractor work to ensure data accuracy for import/export transactions.
Monitor and advise business of all applicable FTA that ZOLL may participate in and leverage.
Monitor domestic and international government activity for emerging and/or changing laws, regulations that may impact ZOLL’s products or business. Collaborate with RA regarding the impact to ZOLL business.
Work with Finance to ensure ZOLL takes advantage of all duty drawback opportunities available.
Collaborates with multiple departments including Order Management, International Logistics, Legal, Regulatory, Quality, GPM, Marketing, Engineering, Sales Ops, and Finance on ensuring HTS codes, weights and dimensions of all components and FG products are made available and entered in the item master files.
Oversee activities of team and develops all compliance personnel.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree required
7+ years professional experience within a business-to-business intensive environment required
5+ years director experience or equivalent position preferred
Oracle Cloud GTM experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
Excellent organizational and time management skills and proven ability to effectively prioritize initiatives to meet expectations and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Demonstrated proficiency in working with Oracle Cloud GTM module.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to identify problems of varying complexity and review related information to develop, evaluate and implement solutions.
Keen attention to detail
Strong communication skills, and ability to provide information to a large audience of internal stakeholders.
