Job Summary
Senior Staff Accountant will assist with all aspects of the accounting function including Bank, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, invoices, payments, reconciliations, general ledger, provisioning, and all accounting functions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other job duties may be required per management direction.
Essential Functions
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and reviews.
Responsible for entering journal entries.
Review vendor payments
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
Ensure all financial data is accurate, timely and complete for management review.
Travel and expense review and analysis
Review collection process and targets and calculates DSO. Assists AR team with special projects.
Assistance with quarterly external and annual audits. Respond to requests by Company’s Controller (providing information to our independent auditors).
Manage interactions with tax authorities (opening and closing new state accounts sales tax and withholding tax)
Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the Department.
Execute Ad-Hoc finance projects as needed from time to time.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
5-10 Years of proven work experience in accounting required.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Able to consistently perform core responsibilities without direct supervision.
Strong AP experience
Team leader and individual contributor
Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Microsoft Dynamics software experience is a plus.
SalesForce.com software experience is a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work under pressure
Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
Strong organizational & time management skills
Must have excellent follow up and follow through qualities, taking ownership & accountability.
