A Sales Development Specialist (SDS) is responsible for the initial phases of the sales cycle. They perform qualification activities to increase the sales pipeline for ZOLL Medical products and services. The successful candidate will work closely with our Marketing Specialist to drive the success of marketing’s lead generation campaigns and actively generate leads through cold calling to increase the pipeline for the Public Safety market.
Location: Runcorn (2 days home office offered after sucessful induction)
Tasks:
The candidate will need to develop and create methods for researching and qualifying new potential customer segments and markets to drive new business. The candidate will be comfortable speaking with a wide range of customers, in different markets and industries.
- Identify and qualify opportunities from lead generation activities, inbound product inquiries and outbound calling campaigns into defined target groups
- Identify and develop key contacts and decision makers within prospect accounts
- Utilise consultative sales approach to evaluate and understand customers' business and needs
- Cold-calling potential customers, be able to generate own sales leads
- Communicate ZOLL Medical's value proposition and tailor to customer needs
- Timely and accurate data entry of all pertinent customer information into the ZOLL CRM database
Requirements:
- Ideally two years of experience in an Inside Sales, Lead Development or Account Management role developing relationships across a wide range of customers/clients via phone and email.
- Ability to learn quickly, ensure timely and accurate follow-up
- Excellent phone and computer skills (MS Office Suite)
- Proven experience using the internet to conduct research
- Ability to perform individually with specific direction and manage time efficiently
- Develop an organised daily routine of reviewing leads, making outbound calls, and responding to customer emails
- Energetic, creative, motivated self-starter, goal oriented and a team player
- Prior experience with Salesforce or other CRM applications is a plus
