Manager Bids and Contracts EU Direct

Bids and Contracts in Europe. You will lead and participate in the bids and contracts process from start to end, and be responsible for setting and managing the right team on a European level. This positions also demands close and efficient coordination with Sales, Business Analysis, Operations and extern legal consultants to incorporate their knowledge to deliver best-practice processes and optimal results. You will also participate in selected negotiations with customers after the submission of bids or contracts.

This position will be located in Cologne or Piacenza and will report to our Operations Manager Germany, Austria and Benelux who will oversee this newly build “powerhouse” for Bids and Contracts in Europe. You will be responsible for minimum 3 direct reports within Europe.

  • Drives the bids (including tender) and contract business together with Sales professionals and Specialists in our European country units, thus owning the entire process until completion

  • Manages all commercial and government customer bids and contracts in accordance with company policies, specifications, good business practices and legal requirements

  • Resolves compliance, legal or other critical issues

  • Works successfully in our matrix organization by facilitating necessary engagement between Senior Management, Sales professionals and other critical internal functions as well as external legal personnel

  • Reviews and refines existing processes and policies for efficiency and enhancement of customer experience

  • Participates in selected bid and contract negotiations with customers

  • Manages GPOs in coordination with Sales professionals on a European level to gain access and align on pricing

  • Supervises and trains Bids and Contracts Specialists in Europe for a future challenges

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree, required

  • 5+ years of demonstrated Sales bids & contracts management experience on an European level

  • Track record with tender win rate, bid score improvement, time to submission

  • Proven experience in managing a team in a matrix organization, required

  • Strong English skills required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle ERP and or equivalent CRM tool, required and tender software
