Job Summary:

Under supervision of the Director of Facilities, is responsible for providing onsite maintenance and repair of building equipment and systems to ensure 24/7 facility access to a clean, safe working environment that supports the ZOLL Corporate Mission.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs trouble-shooting, preventive & corrective maintenance of building equipment and systems on time and in an appropriate manner and documents same utilizing a work order system.

  • Evaluates equipment performance and recommends improvements to maintenance program and system design.

  • Assists external service providers/contractors responsible for building equipment and systems when necessary.

  • Independently applies skills, experience and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks to troubleshoot, adjust, install, repair, replace and maintain equipment or facilities.

  • Available for and responds to unscheduled, emergency, on-call, after-hour situations to meet the needs of the department, i.e. floods, roof leaks, storm emergencies, etc.

  • Develops and maintains spare parts inventory.

  • Orders products supplies and other materials as needed for routine operation of equipment and systems.

  • Ensures quality of work, provides in-house expertise.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Participates in and successfully completes mandatory education and/or training.

  • Works on special projects as assigned.

 

Skill Requirements:

  • Prior work experience in a similar role.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop strong relationships.
