Job Summary:
ZOLL DATA SYSTEMS is looking for an experienced Senior Content Specialist to successfully develop written content and to execute and manage marketing content projects in digital and traditional media. The ideal candidate is a superb copywriter, content developer, and a seasoned project manager. This role combines content development and project management with integrated marketing expertise and requires both hands-on, written content execution and delegation and management of external copywriters and designers. Successful candidates will demonstrate through their writing portfolio the ability to communicate persuasively about complex, technical subjects with clarity, flawless grammar, and economy of words.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience and a high comfort level working in a fast-paced corporate or agency environment in which you have consistently, simultaneously worked on multiple projects and timelines. You must be highly organized, calm, focused under pressure, and able to hold yourself accountable to deadlines and your teammates. You should be a top-notch copywriter who has an eye for design, such that you can effectively apply corporate style guidelines to ensure the integrity of the brand and complement the written word. You should possess a strong desire to do things the right way and take pride in building quality into everything you touch. You should enjoy being part of a diverse, energetic team and value working together in a collegial environment to produce results.
This is a hybrid remote/in-office position with a preference for candidates local to the Broomfield/Denver metro area who have the flexibility to work onsite as needed. Truly exceptional candidates from other locations who are seeking a full-time remote option will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
Content Development:
Copywriting and proofreading
Thought leadership content (articles, eBooks, case studies, etc.)
Email marketing content
Social media content
Website content and maintenance
Creative management of external designers
Content asset tracking and performance reporting
Continuous analysis of results to generate learnings, improve strategies, and optimize content
Suggesting improvements to processes to optimize content performance and value
Content Project Management:
Orchestrating execution of content project components
Tracking assignments and deadlines through a digital project management platform
Ensuring all deliverables are on track, within scope and budget, and meeting quality standards
Assigning tasks and effectively communicating objectives to the production team
Managing external writers, designers, and vendors
Managing corporate conference call for presentations, abstract submissions, and speaker contracts
Effectively communicating project deliverables and status to stakeholders
Collecting and tracking performance data from HubSpot and third-party reports for content projects
Required Skills:
Writing portfolio that demonstrates the ability to communicate persuasively about complex, technical subjects with clarity, flawless grammar, and economy of words
Superb, professional writing skills: you are both a student of the craft and a storyteller who can make content sing
Expert grammarian, punctuation wiz, familiarity with the AP Stylebook
The ability to research a topic, interview internal and external subject matter experts, synthesize information, and create compelling content to achieve specific communications goals
Comfortable understanding complex, technical information and translating it into relatable, accessible content for different audiences
Thoughtful and deliberate approach to organizing information and crafting a cohesive story
Receptiveness to editor feedback and ability to respond effectively
The ability to tailor content and voice for specific target audiences
Experience working in a high-performing integrated marketing team, in an agency or corporate environment
High proficiency in content marketing, email marketing, social media, analytics etc.
Excellent organization and project management skills (calendars, deadlines, vendor/agency management)
Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple projects with a positive attitude
Ability to collaborate and work under pressure in a fast-paced organization
Team player who shifts easily between independent and collaborative tasks
Analytical and creative thinker with a desire for continuous learning
Open-minded with proven ability to build strong working relationships and to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups including product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams
Flexibility and willingness to work onsite as needed
High proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
High proficiency with Adobe Acrobat (full version, ability to use mark-up and collaboration tools)
Level of Experience:
7+ years of experience; experience in B2B technology marketing preferred
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Salary for this position is $75,000-$85,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
