Job purpose

As a Staff UX Designer, your role on the team will include working closely with designers, engineers, business stakeholders, end users and product managers to discover, understand and communicate user research and design practices to create intuitive, easy-to-use products. We are looking for someone with the ability and desire to create highly functional and aesthetically appealing products.

The ideal candidate for this position can translate business needs and user research data into actionable design deliverables that are incorporated into our products. You have experience in executing and directing the production of user interface wireframes and designs, interaction models, and prototypes. You are comfortable presenting your concepts to stakeholders and are able to translate for a range of audiences including product managers and engineers. You understand User Centered Design and set high standards for yourself and others on the team.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Work closely with designers, engineers, quality assurance and product managers to create simple and beautiful user experiences, including a consistent and cohesive brand voice
  • Help continuously evolve content design processes to facilitate the needs of the business
  • Translate concepts into wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows
  • Create product prototypes, style guides, copy patterns and information architecture
  • Develop personas and usage scenarios
  • Promote User-Centered Design process
  • Identify design problems and make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new functions and features
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in design-related discipline such as Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Computer Science or equivalent. Typically, 5+ years of relevant experience. Proven track record performing the above Duties and Responsibilities.
  • Experience and knowledge in standard UX software such as Sketch, Marvel, Zeplin, Balsamiq, OmniGraffle, Framer etc. Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript are a plus
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and sell design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and localization techniques and practices
  • Experience in Agile development process
  • Highly motivated to learn and work in a team environment
