Component Engineer 1

Support new product development and legacy product sustaining for all ZOLL Resuscitation Medical electronic components, including:

  • Create and maintain component specifications used in ZOLL products.

  • Support design engineering with selection and usage of electronic components for use in new designs.

  • Support procedures for implementation for new part numbers, and provide suggestions for improvements

  • Support external departments such as Manufacturing, Purchasing, QA, and Engineering as required ensuring component integrity according to ZOLL policies and procedures.

  • Maintain awareness of component availability, cost, planned obsolescence, and possible replacements.

Essential Functions:

  • 50%     Generate new electronic components specifications, maintain ECO responsibility for electronic component specifications.

  • 25%     Support Design Engineering, add and maintain existing vendor sources for future ZOLL products.

  • 25%     Support of other department component specification requests (QA, Purchasing, Manufacturing).

Skill Requirements:

  • Good communication and documentation skills

  • Computer Literate

  • Electronics knowledge

Required/ Preferred Education and Experience:

  • A.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience

  • 0 – 3+ years’ experience in Component Engineering

  • 3 – 5+ years’ experience as an Electronics Technician
