R&D Product Development Engineer Co-op

This is a Co-op position running from January 2023 until August 2023. You must be enrolled in a Degree Program at the start of the Co-op.

Job Summary:

Working under the direction of Principal & Senior Engineers this position applies standard engineering techniques (Good Design Practices) and procedures to assist in the design, development, and support of new and currently marketed disposable medical devices, including electrodes.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform design and development tasks, such as completing design and testing activities on new products and modifications to existing products.

  • May be involved in design analysis for new or existing designs.  

  • Participate in design and document reviews.

  • Assist with prototyping, troubleshooting, testing, and support development activities.

  • Develop documentation associated with engineering activities.

  • Other projects related to engineering activities.

Skills Requirements:

  • Computer tools proficiency.

  • Ability to read a schematic and analyze functionality.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Junior or Senior, pursuing BSBME/BSEE degree or equivalent with good academic attainment.

  • Academic experience with engineering test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc.

  • CAD experience is a plus.

  • Experience building parts and assemblies with 3D printers is a plus.
