The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is a seasoned and collaborative individual with knowledge and experience in manual and/or automated testing of UI applications and API/data exchange services and tools.  This individual is an experienced quality assurance engineer that has a passion for working in an Agile development environment They thrive on improving quality in all aspects of the development lifecycle, from the creation of requirements to the delivery to the end user and everything in between.  The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer is a passionate champion for QA practices and acts as a role model to the team in their implementation. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Creating and maintaining test plans 

  • Creating, maintaining, and executing manual test cases using ZOLL's test case management system 

  • Contributing to automated test suites that fully cover application functionality both at the UI and API layer where applicable 

  • Understanding, verifying, and effectively communicating product requirements 

  • Ensuring product is deployable and maintainable when delivered to our customers  

  • Assisting with product documentation, following QMS processes 

  • Collaboratively participate in Agile ceremonies 

  • Collaborating with development team to find and resolve defects within the sprint 

  • Assist with the diagnoses and resolution of product configuration issues in production environments 

  • Reproducing, documenting, and verifying resolution of customer/field reported issues 

  • Contributing to technical documentation and knowledge transition to Support and Sales Engineering 

  • Using VMware and/or AWS to setup and maintain test environments 

  • Utilize organizational process control systems and industry privacy requirements (i.e. FDA quality controls, HIPAA). 

Required/Preferred Education and Experience: 

  • 5+ years of experience in creating & maintaining test plans 

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience 

  • Experience using manual and automated testing techniques for both UI and data/api level testing 

  • Proactive and demonstrates ownership in solving problems and seeking input from teammates 

  • Communicates openly and honestly and respects the variety of personality styles that make up the team 

  • Adapts easily to solve new problems or change directions as needed 

  • Balances “head’s down testing” time with active collaboration/problem solving discussions with the team 

  • Able to manage confidential information with appropriate discretion and judgement 

  • Preferred 2-3 years healthcare technology experience 

The minimum salary for this position is $110,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
