As a 365 Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and delivery of the current Microsoft Office 365, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, Power Platforms environments for ZOLL. You will use analysis and troubleshooting skills to address ongoing issues as well as proposing solutions to drive continuous improvement and growth with a customer focused mindset. As an advocate and champion of Office 365 and its adoption, you’ll be responsible for business development, solution design/development and contributing to the continued growth of our Microsoft capability.  You’ll deliver business solutions on SharePoint and the Power Platform for our enterprise-level organization, across multiple functions, gaining a valuable breadth of experience along the way.

Your interest in automation and development will allow you to enable efficiencies, standardization, and security and you will look for ways to improve the end user experience. Your responsibilities will be to work closely with End User Services, Operations, Infrastructure Engineers, and Technology Risk and build relationships with stakeholders globally. There would be an expectation of taking ownership over issues, without direct supervision, driving toward resolution.

You will be assisting our end users with administering their SharePoint Online environments, such as providing 3rd level support, aiding with adoption, and training, implementing governance procedures, and monitoring the health of the environment. You will be involved in planning for and supporting Microsoft feature rollouts. You will be involved in the development of Power Platform solutions built into existing or new environments, particularly around Power Apps and Power Automate as well as be responsible for the maintenance, support, and enhancement of existing power platform solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist our end users with administering their SharePoint Online environments, such as providing 3rd level support, aiding with adoption and training, implementing governance procedures, and monitoring the health of the environment.

  • Develop Power Platform solutions built into existing or new environments, particularly around Power Apps and Power Automate as well as be responsible for the maintenance, support, and enhancement of existing power platform solutions.

  • Responsible in planning for, deploying, and supporting Microsoft feature rollouts.

  • Manage, maintain, and respond to support requests and incidents related to solutions that focus on efficient and effective collaboration including, Exchange, Exchange Online, Teams, Azure AD, One Drive, Office 365 groups, as well as utilizing PowerShell to automate tasks.

  • Meet with business units and stakeholders to determine Office 365 needs

  • Support and troubleshoot voice/video communications within Teams

  • Anticipate implementation obstacles and develop plans to address them

  • Analyze cross-technology and cross-platform issues

  • Provide input into the technology plan for the organization and ensure that plans are integrated effectively with other aspects of the technical infrastructure

  • Provide advanced level support and troubleshooting to resolve platform and solution-level issues

  • Provide support and documentation to our internal support teams as well as end users

  • Serve as a subject matter expert providing consultation services to project teams and stakeholders

  • Provide recommendations for investment in new products and technology solutions, supported by appropriate ROI, total cost of ownership, and/or cost benefit analysis

  • Carry out IT projects, interacting with staff and consultants as needed to ensure successful project outcomes

  • Create and maintain documentation on the organizations systems and procedures.

  • Stay up-to-date on technologies related to his/her responsibilities and act as an in-house expert on cloud applications

  • Apply consistently a positive, problem-solving attitude and demonstrate a curious mindset

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members

Skills requirements

  • Proficiency in PowerShell for executing scripts and commands related to the platforms within the job description, when applicable

  • Ability to develop and present end-user training programs, and to communicate technical information to non-technical staff

  • Ability to develop and document repeatable standardized procedures, and strictly adhere to existing procedures

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, as well as a methodical and disciplined approach to IT issue resolution and systems management

  • Ability to identify potential areas of improvement and make recommendations

  • Understanding of 3rd party applications and their interactions with 365

  • Some developer skills to understand customer's applications

  • Familiarity with Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira

  • Ability to work in a global, virtual environment.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in the M365 space including SharePoint, Power Automate, Teams, OneDrive

  • Bachelors or equivalent work experience in business or technology related field

  • ITIL certification a plus
