Job Summary

As a Director of Software Development at ZOLL Data Systems, you will lead our Engineering Team that will define, build, and deliver our cloud healthcare billing solution. You will have strong ownership over creating new product functionality and leading a high performing, cross-functional team. This is a senior leadership role that will interact with all levels of ZOLL and ZOLL’s customers and partners and be a key leader in defining and implementing our cloud product strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of highly capable engineers passionate about building high quality software
  • Collaborate on ZOLL Billing product strategy with our product teams, our platform architect, and other key stakeholders
  • Utilize data to drive decisions around future product enhancements and operational improvements
  • Collaborate with other R&D leaders to continuously improve our organization
  • Investigate and champion new technologies that will allow us to operate more effectively and deliver more value to our teams and customers

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of engineering management experience, preferably with internet-scale experience
  • 7+ years of experience building and leading teams with an emphasis on scaling them to meet the demands of a rapidly growing business
  • 3+ years of experience developing and delivering cloud services and products on a platform like AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
  • Domain expertise in cloud technologies like microservices, containerization, cloud native storage technologies, modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js, analytics technologies like Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kibana, etc.
  • A track record of leading Agile product delivery teams with a history of delivering high-quality products and services
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to tailor communication for an audience ranging from engineers on the team to the executive leadership team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in computer science
  • Experience leading a global product team
  • Passion for tools and techniques for creating high performing teams
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate data driven decisions that lead to results
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize multiple projects
  • BS/MS in computer science
  • Healthcare domain experience

The minimum salary for this role is $150,000 annually. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
