Job purpose

  • The primary function of a Supervisor is to ensure that the service and manufacturing plans are met while following all established procedures. This will involve scheduling, training, interviewing, coaching and all other tasks related to employee relations.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of service staffing including assemblers, technicians and support staff.

  • Execute to the service plan to meet timely processing of all field returns while maintaining proper inventory levels to meet daily order requirements.

  • Maintain the department roster, cross-training matrix and evacuation plan

  • Work with all plant support groups i.e. Safety, Industrial, Manufacturing, & Quality Engineering groups as required.

  • Provide leadership, direction and support through empowerment, teamwork, on the job assignments and utilization of implementation of continuous improvement concepts and methods.

  • Ensure that proper assembly and test procedures are followed.​

  • Will lead by example to build a positive work environment.

  • Compile and analyze data of key performance indicators.

  • Work special high priority tasks as assigned.​

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management.

  • Background in production supervision with 3+ years’ related experience.

  • Strong experience with employee performance management.

  • Highly communicative; excellent communication, collaboration, and team building skills.  Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally.

  • Strong analytical abilities.  Detail oriented and accurate.  Deep working knowledge of MS Excel analyses with a strong mathematical ability.

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing or service processes within the electro-mechanical manufacturing industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.           

  • Leadership abilities to promote teamwork, delegation, individual responsibility, and positive employee morale

  • Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills for effective communication with all work levels.

  • Must have strong electronics background.

  • Familiar with Lean, DFT and Six Sigma principles.

Assists manager in supervising employees in the Product Service. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
