The Human Resources Business Partner (Southern Europe) supports and enhances the corporate culture while providing HR guidance and support to the company. Provides support in areas such as employee relations, talent development, leave administration, performance management, retention, disciplinary actions and compensation administration. Provides support when need to the HR and local Management. Reports to the (Senior) Manager of Human Resources.

Essential Functions:

  • Interprets HR policies and procedures for employees and managers and makes recommendations to HR Manager for potential improvements.

  • Complying with national employment laws and Collective Agreements.

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of various training and development presentations to employees.

  • Provides (administrative) activities regarding hiring, compensation, leave and dismissals.

  • Provide HRIS support as needed.

  • Provide back up to other HR staff in the EMEA area.

  • Conducts new employee orientations, employee relations counseling, Employee surveys and exit interviews.

  • Support HR management with regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Support management with ISO projects.

  • Support management with Health & Safety coordination.

  • Works on special projects relating to the development/modification of local and EMEA wide HR programs and procedures.

  • Provide HR guidance to ZOLL employees and management team on a variety of HR- and business-related items that require sound HR practices and perspectives.

  • Partner with Human Resources colleagues on employee relations and performance management issues and seek legal guidance when necessary.

Skills Requirements:

  • Effective working knowledge Employment law, Employee Leave of Absences and HRIS.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be well organized and possess the ability to multitask.

  • Demonstrated project and time management skills, with an ability to set and maintain priorities to meet deadlines.

  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment; handle a multitude of tasks; and adapt to change.

  • Discretion around sensitive company and employee information.

  • Language capabilities: Italian, English (Spanish advantageous)

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human resources management.

  • 10+ years related experience.

  • Prior pay roll and Workday experience a plus.

  • International traveling – 5%.

  • Position is located in Italy – Piacenza.
