Job Summary:

The Clinical Specialist (CS) will coordinate pre-sale and post-sale customer education and training initiatives within the health sector with the focus on Indigenous Health and Communities, and act as the clinical and technical expert for the ZOLL product line. Within the direction of the National Clinical Manager, the CS works collaboratively with the Territory Manager throughout the sales process, and builds deep, long lasting customer relationships in order to encourage ongoing utilization of ZOLL products and achievement of desired clinical outcomes within an account.

The CS utilizes principles of adult learning in the assessment, program planning, implementation, and evaluation phases of the educational process. Emphasis is on competency skill assessment and development of all clinical staff through identification of learning needs. Coordination and provision of educational offerings including orientation, formal continuing education and in-services, are a major function of this role. The CS serves as a resource to staff of all levels and provides direct training/education of newly hired staff, territory managers, and new customers.

The CS actively participates in leadership of quality improvement processes and affecting process and protocol changes relating to the account's resuscitation system. Other duties assigned may include support to the sales team, speaking opportunities and attendance at trade shows, deployment across significant accounts, and training to the distributor partners if needed, or other functions as needed. The successful CS develops and maintains customer relationships and is capable of operating in a self-directive role.

Essential Functions:

  • Organizing and conducting educational events in existing or new accounts

  • Communicating leads and account updates to Territory Managers

  • Providing input to prepare additional materials as needed in the support of sales and training

  • Facilitating and supporting Clinical programs including tradeshows, conferences and events

  • Expanding clinical applications within existing users through ongoing education and relationship building

  • Act as a clinical and technical product expert for all ZOLL products across the chain of survival

  • Be a passionate advocate for improving patient outcomes

Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals and clinical studies

  • Ability to effectively educate clinical personnel

  • Ability to affect change through education and evidence based clinical literature

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to seamlessly integrate technology into work

  • Demonstrated flexibility, autonomy, self-motivation, and a high level of professional demeaner

  • Ability to work effectively with and direct training and in-servicing programs to achieve highest level of product compliance

  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and follow-up

  • Availability to travel

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

Required/Preferred Education and  Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) preferred

  • A minimum of three years' experience as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic, preferably in the Critical Care Setting

  • A current state issued clinical license in good standing
