Job Summary:

Lead a site of manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, act as manufacturing engineer, facilities, materials and purchasing. Oversee a 3 shift production operation to meet the daily, weekly, and monthly output requirements of the Master Production Schedule in quality, compliant, and cost effective manner. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring compliance to ZOLL policies and procedures, monitoring and improving metrics including labor productivity, product quality, compliance, and schedule attainment.

Essential Functions:

  • Fosters a culture of respect for others, continuous Improvement, can-do spirit, and meeting commitments
  • Assures compliance to ZOLL policies and procedures
  • Develops, mentors and coaches staff on production management best practices
  • Prepares manpower, line capacity and budgets to meet production demand as defined by Master Production Schedule and business objectives
  • Monitors line level KPls (yields, efficiency, debug aging, scrap, etc.) as prepared by line supervisors
  • Prepares periodic reports on production KPls and improvement activities
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining acceptable quality levels, failure investigation, and resolution of workmanship issues
  • Coordinates with Master Scheduler and Manufacturing Engineering Manager to establish and communicate production priorities
  • Experience with NPI
  • Foster Lean 6 Sigma initiatives
  • Establishes annual improvement objectives for the production team based on business. Improvement targets and champions lean and six sigma projects in support of these
  • Maintains a workforce of cross-trained operators and technicians that allows for flexibility. in labor allocation to efficiently meet production objectives
  • Other duties and special projects as required

Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years production management experience running a final assembly and test manufacturing facility
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter with track record of driving down cost while assuring product quality
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Lean Manufacturing certification preferred
  • Six Sigma green belt or higher preferred
  • Must be proficient in Office programs
  • Experience in Medical Device or other highly regulated industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • BS technical field or equivalent
  • Master's degree in business or technical field preferred
