Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer position assists in developing robust manufacturing processes, procedures, and methods.

Responsibilities

  • Participate on new product development teams to optimize design for manufacturability
  • Must possess solid Lean background and be able to participate and contribute to Continuous Improvement using Lean tools
  • Determine parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification based on lean principles.
  • Evaluate new projects, perform feasibility studies, and monitor existing manufacturing engineering projects or programs to reduce cost while maximizing quality and customer responsiveness.
  • Find root cause for manufacturing defects and implement process improvements internally and through our supply chain.
  • Responsible for change execution through our Agile documentation control system and processes.
  • Create/Update manufacturing process flows and perform Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
  • Write and execute process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) protocols and reports per established SOP.
  • Enhance and develop production process metrics and variables to enable greater understanding and control of variability
  • Knowledge of Class III Medical Device manufacturing regulations and practice is a must
  • Comply with company policies and procedures regarding Employee health, safety and conduct.

Qualifications

  • The candidate must have Medical Device Manufacturing Experience, minimum two years
  • Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar sciences plus 4-8 years of manufacturing/industrial engineering or project management experience is required 
  • The successful candidate should have a solid lean background and must be a “results” driven individual. 
  • Candidate must also be able to work in a team environment, work well under pressure, adhere to strict deadlines, and possess confidence in their ability
