Technical trainers within our organization are responsible for delivering both customer facing and internal courses on ZOLL’s line of defibrillators.  Delivered course material has an emphasis on preventive maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and device operation.  Training classes are held both remotely at customer sites throughout the US, along with in house classes held here at our headquarters. This position will also have a focus on building out content for our eLearning platform in support of customer and business partner certification.  Approximately 50-75% travel, both domestic and international for multi-week training sessions may be required. 



  • Delivering hands on training directly to biomedical engineers and technicians on ZOLL’s line of defibrillators.
  • Acting as a SME in the areas of device operation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Developing new content and improving existing training materials in order to support both on-site training classes and our eLearning platform.
  • Acting as a technical resource for our helpdesk in order to assist with answering customer’s questions on PM and repair.
  • Blend traditional learning approaches with existing and new technologies while utilizing a variety of learning tools, techniques, concepts, and practices in order to create and deliver effective learning programs.
  • Effectively communicate with manager regarding training/facilitation, program or project status.
  • Proactively work with internal and external project team members to identify and resolve issues.
  • Create courseware using online LMS tools, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and using available graphics and multimedia software.
  • Revise training curriculum and methods as needed to improve effectiveness.
  • Working with video production in order to assist in developing new training content in various distribution channels.


  • Knowledge of modern training tools and course development software.
  • Excellent documentation and time management skills.
  • Experience with technical writing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role as a technical expert.
  • Valid Passport
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience:


  • 0-3 plus years’ experience as a technical trainer.
  • Biomedical Engineering Degree highly desired. 
  • CTT+ certification preferred
  • Background in clinical/biomedical engineering.
