Job Summary: 

The Facilities Maintenance manager will provide direction and coordination for all maintenance-related activities pertaining to the interior and exterior of multiple facilities.  Additionally, you will ensure the building and respective equipment remain in the proper state of operational repair and compliance with all regulatory agencies.  This position supervises a full-time maintenance staff of two mechanics and reports to the Director of Facilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain ZOLL physical plant and grounds by performing daily, weekly, monthly building inspections with a high attention to detail to identify necessary repairs.
  • Manage, plan and schedule maintenance workload leveraging the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with Director of Facilities to ensure adherence to established annual budget for labor and materials.
  • Coordinate all ZOLL safety, security, and building management systems.
  • Supervision of direct report staff including training and compliance.
  • OSHA coordination and compliance as well as active participation in the emergency response team and maintenance of the reverse 911 and other emergency communication portals.
  • Complete all other functions and assignments as assigned by the Director of Facilities in order to complete ZOLL's goals.
  • May need to be available outside of standing working hours to support building operations.

Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills including the ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with vendors, architects, engineers and contractors performing work in our buildings.
  • Outstanding leadership skills.
  • Solid understanding of building systems (MEP/FP).
  • Experience in Johnson Controls Metasys Building Automation System (BAS).
  • Experience in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
  • Provide timely, thorough, and thoughtful employee performance evaluations to establish expectations and paths of employee growth.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work accurately with minimal error.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma of GED.
  • 5+ years of facility maintenance management experience including staff supervision.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and National Fire Protection Association regulations.
  • Familiarity with operating in an ISO9000 and Lean Manufacturing environment.
