Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining detailed account analysis in the Company’s ERP system while also providing cost and inventory analysis in support of operations and finance.  They assist with the corporate fixed asset system as well.

Essential Functions:

  • Work extensively with manufacturing personnel in order to control/analyze standard costs for materials, labor and overhead.
  • Create and analyze monthly costs and inventory entries for General Ledger closings.
  • Prepare Weekly/Monthly/Quarter Dashboard Metrics.
  • Work with management to develop monthly/quarterly forecasts.
  • Assist and facilitate annual budget process for operations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual account analysis reports pertaining to costs and expenses including postings, balancing, and reconciliation to the General Ledger and subsidiary accounts.
  • Provide monthly financial closing documentation from a cost and inventory perspective.
  • Establish, input and control financial inventory flow and reevaluations as needed.
  • Assist with both internal reviews and external audits by preparing schedule and providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures and any other necessary data.
  • Track and reconcile units used in the refurbishment (used equipment) purpose.
  • Help maintain Oracle subsidiary inventory.
  • Provide finance with documentation relating and supporting fixed asset transactions.
  • Analyze fixed asset additions for propriety and review in-process amounts with project managers.
  • Reconcile monthly inventory accounts with the general ledger.
  • Supervise the refurbished inventory tracking process.
  • Performs special projects as requested.

Skill Requirements:

  • 8+ years in accounting including at least 3 most current years in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer skills, including Excel, are required.  Oracle experience preferred. Report writing experience desired.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accountancy or significant equivalent employment experience
