ZOLL LAUNCHES PLUSTRAC AED PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE TO INTERNATIONAL MARKETS

September 28, 2015—CHELMSFORD, MASS.—ZOLL® Medical Corporation, an Asahi Kasei Group company that manufactures medical devices and related software solutions, announced today the release of a new international version of PlusTrac™, an interactive Web-based AED Program Management Software.

PlusTrac easily manages AEDs and their consumables, such as batteries and electrodes, with real-time status notifications. The software tracks AED sites and program compliance with a multi-facility tiered structure, lists trained responders by site, and also tracks both ZOLL and other AED manufacturers’ devices and consumables. The program sends out alerts prior to expiration.

An innovative app, that is available on Apple and Android devices, allows the site manager to easily perform a site status check. PlusTrac is being launched initially in eight languages: Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Swedish; others languages will follow.

“AEDs cannot protect people if they are not maintained in working order.” said Jonathan A. Rennert, President of ZOLL. “PlusTrac is comprehensive and easy to use. It provides total oversight at a glance, ensuring that AED owners are properly supported and their devices ready in the event of a cardiac arrest.”

ZOLL has more than 10 years of experience in AED Program Management and its software is used globally to manage AED compliance in more than 50 countries.
